TWO men have been sentenced for an online car-buying scam which saw them take vehicles from unsuspecting victims without paying for them. Ireland’s Sanctuary Runners will launch first UK group this weekend

A NEW branch of Ireland’s Sanctuary Runners group is set to launch in Brighton this weekend. Man in his 80s dies in Co. Westmeath collision

A MAN in his 80s has died following a two-vehicle collision in Co. Westmeath. The incident occurred on the R394 at Gartlandstown, Castlepollard at around 5.30am on Wednesday, July 3. On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
