Luas services disrupted after vehicle driven on to tracks

DUBLIN'S tram system faced disruption on Saturday evening after a vehicle was driven on to the tracks. The Luas Red Line suffered significant delays following the incident, which occurred near the Blackhorse stop shortly after 7pm last night. Man jailed after pleading guilty to terrorism-related offences

A MAN who was found in possession of a British Army member's vehicle registration has been handed a 30-month sentence. Bill Doolin, famous western outlaw of Irish descent, escaped from jail on this day in 1896. Born in Arkansas, Doolin went west and worked several jobs as a cowboy on Oklahoma ranches. He eventually became a member of the Dalton gang, who attempted several robberies. In 1892, Doolin formed his own gang called the Wild Bunch, which became the most infamous outlaw group of the west at that time. Doolin was eventually shot and killed by U.S. Marshal Heck Thomas.
