Concrete firm fined for ‘severe’ pollution of large section of river

A CONCRETE manufacturer has been fined for polluting an eight kilometre stretch of river in Northern Ireland. Man charged over burglary and hit-and-run which struck two women

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary and a hit-and-run which hit two women. On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
