Man sentenced to more than five years in prison for child sex offences

Man jailed for killing two cyclists after 24 years on the run

A MAN whose dangerous driving led to the deaths of two cyclists has been jailed after 24 years on the run. Bryan Kenealy, 69, and Roger Harris, 66, were cycling in Cheshire in November 1999 when Huseyin Ozkara collided with another car. Man again sentenced to life for murder of ‘gentle soul’ after original conviction quashed

A MAN has been sentenced to life for a second time for murdering his friend after his original conviction was quashed. William Phelan, 39, was found stabbed to death at his home in Harpurhey, Manchester in March 2018. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
