TWO people have been airlifted to hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Co. Kerry. Man charged with attempted murder following stabbing in Co. Antrim

A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following a report of a stabbing in Co. Antrim. The 58-year-old was detained following the incident, which occurred in the West Road area of Portglenone at around 10am on Friday. A WATCH belonging to the richest passenger aboard the ill-fated Titanic has sold for more than £1m. Henry Aldridge and Son auctioneers in Devizes, Wiltshire, said the timepiece had set a new house record of £1.175m. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
