TWO people have died following separate road traffic collisions in Dublin and Cork today. In Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, a female cyclist died following a collision involving a bicycle and a truck at around 8am. Gardaí will not face prosecution over 2020 George Nkencho shooting

Tributes paid to motorcyclist killed in collision on Irish road

TRIBUTES have been paid following the death of a motorcyclist who was involved in a collision in Co. Cork over the weekend. The man, aged in his 60s, has been identified locally as Niall Murphy, who lived in Wilton. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
