‘What a wonderful long life’: Tributes paid following death of 108-year-old Irish woman

FRIENDS and well-wishers have paid tribute following the death of a 108-year-old woman in Co. Cavan. Bridget Tierney died on Wednesday, February 28, “peacefully, in the tender care of her very devoted family, in her 109th year,” her family has confirmed. Warhol exhibition draws record number of visitors to Dublin gallery

AN Andy Warhol Exhibition has proven a record-breaker in Ireland after attracting 135,000 people to a Dublin gallery. The Andy Warhol Three Times Out exhibition was open at the Hugh Lane Gallery from October 6, 2023 to January 28, 2024. CELEBRITY chef Dave Myers has died, aged 66, his family has confirmed. On this day in 1816, Dublin born playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan died in London. Sheridan was a member of the British House of Commons and is best remembered for his plays “A Trip to Scarborough,” “The Rivals,” and “The School for Scandal.” He was very well respected by his contemporaries and is buried at the Poet’s Corner at Westminster Abbey.
