POLICE have named a man who died in a collision in Co. Tyrone this morning as 29-year-old Eoin Lynch from Castlederg. Hungarian police arrest Irishman in connection with death of American tourist

POLICE in Hungary say they have arrested an Irishman in connection with the death of an American tourist in Budapest. Man who assaulted peacemaker attempting to intervene in altercation is jailed

A MAN who seriously assaulted another man as he attempted to intervene in an altercation has been jailed. James Cooney, 40, attacked the victim with a hammer and a trowel as he tried to diffuse a situation involving Cooney and another man.
