Covent Garden murder suspect charged as victim named

A MAN has been charged with murder after a pensioner was found with serious injuries which led to his death last month. Metropolitan Police officers have named the victim as 74-year-old James O’Neill, known to his family as ‘Jim’. Public consultation opens on Ireland’s first marine national park

THE Irish Government has launched a public consultation period regarding plans for the nation’s first marine national park. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
