Increased police presence after sexual attack on teenager

POLICE patrols have been increased in Derry after a teenager was sexually assaulted in the city. The woman was targeted in the Bank Place area of the city at around 1.30am on October 26. A CONVICTED child sex offender has been sent back to jail after being caught attempting to meet and abuse a child. Investigation launched after woman sexually assaulted in ‘terrifying ordeal’

POLICE are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a woman in what has been described as a 'terrifying ordeal' in Derry. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
