Drugs, cash and illegal fireworks seized at house in Derry

DRUGS, cash and illegal fireworks have been seized following a search on a property in Co. Derry. PSNI officers searched the house in Ballygroll Road yesterday (October 30). They found suspected class A,B and C drugs worth £34k as well as a large sum of cash and a stash of illegal fireworks. Increased police presence after sexual attack on teenager

POLICE patrols have been increased in Derry after a teenager was sexually assaulted in the city. The woman was targeted in the Bank Place area of the city at around 1.30am on October 26. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
