Woman and teenage girl charged over Co. Tipperary assault that left young woman in critical condition

A WOMAN and a teenage girl have been charged over a serious assault on a young woman in Co. Tipperary. The incident occurred on the R494 at Birdhill shortly before 5.30pm on Saturday, March 21. Woman arrested following discovery of man’s body in Dublin

A WOMAN in her 50s has been arrested following the discovery of a man's body in Dublin. The man, aged in his 50s, was found unresponsive at a property in the Cookstown area shortly after 1.10pm on Friday and subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene. This day officially marked the last day of the Irish War of Independence after a truce was agreed upon by Ireland and England. Starting on July 11, the IRA suspended efforts by their forces. The truce, which had been in talks since December of 1920, was decided on by Eamon de Valera and Lord Middleton and was formally signed by Dail members Robert Barton and Eamon Duggan and British Army commander Neville Macready.
