Man dies and two women left seriously injured following Limerick collision

A MAN has died and two women are in hospital with serious injuries following a two-car collision in Co. Limerick. The incident happened on the L1135 near Pullagh in Pallasgreen, Co. Irish Government provides €500,000 to support Lancashire GAA Centre of Excellence in Manchester

THE IRISH GOVERNMENT has provided a €500,000 grant via the Emigrant Support Programme to support a state-of-the-art GAA Centre of Excellence in Manchester. Two arrested following racially-motivated hate crime in Belfast

POLICE have arrested two men in connection with an incident in Belfast that they are treating as a racially-motivated hate crime. Bill Doolin, famous western outlaw of Irish descent, escaped from jail on this day in 1896. Born in Arkansas, Doolin went west and worked several jobs as a cowboy on Oklahoma ranches. He eventually became a member of the Dalton gang, who attempted several robberies. In 1892, Doolin formed his own gang called the Wild Bunch, which became the most infamous outlaw group of the west at that time. Doolin was eventually shot and killed by U.S. Marshal Heck Thomas.
