Pair charged with murder following collision in which boy, 4, died

TWO men have been charged with murder following a collision in which a four-year-old boy died. Patrick Maughan, 53, and 27-year-old Owen Maughan, both from Hill Rise, Darenth, Kent, were arrested on Monday in connection with the incident, which occurred the previous day. Murder investigation launched following death of 71-year-old woman in Belfast

POLICE in Belfast have launched a murder investigation following the death of an elderly woman in the city. Kneecap announce London gig which will be their ‘biggest ever’ headline show

KNEECAP have confirmed a London gig this year which will be their ‘biggest headline show’ to date. The Belfast rap group, made up of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap and DJ Próvaí, revealed the gig via their social media platforms today. The British ocean liner Lusitania was sunk by a German u-boat off the coast of Ireland, about 14 miles off the Old Head of Kinsale. The ship sank in 18 minutes and though there were enough lifeboats aboard, the severity prevented them from being launched. Of the 1,959 passengers on board, 1,198 drowned, 128 of them U.S. citizens. The death toll shocked the world and proved the impetus for America to enter WWI. The Germans contended that they only fired because the ship was carrying munitions. In 2008 a diving team explored the wreck and found millions of U.S. made Remington bullets which would seem to support that theory.
