Funeral confirmed for woman found dead in Derry

FUNERAL details have been confirmed for a woman who was found dead in Derry. PSNI detectives are investigating the sudden death of the woman, who was in the Kilrea area on March 9, who has since been named as mother-of-one Jolene McDaid. Renewed appeal for information after gardaí identify body found in Dublin canal

GARDAÍ are renewing their appeal for witnesses following the discovery of a man's body in a canal in Dublin at the weekend. The body was found in the Grand Canal at Coolscuddan, Newcastle, Co. U2 played the last of two shows on their ZooTV tour at Yankee Stadium in New York City on this day in 1992. They are the first Irish band to ever do so and only the second rock artist to play this venue. Billy Joel was the first. They played such hits as “Desire,” “Where the Streets Have No Name” and several songs off their newly released album “Atchung Baby.”
