Four arrested after gardaí seize more than €380,000 in cash during Dublin and Leitrim searches

‘Fear and distress’ in community after teenager killed at Tusla residence in Dublin

A TEENAGER has been killed following an incident at a residential unit owned by Tusla, Ireland's Child and Family Agency. Man arrested in Co. Armagh extradited to Germany to stand trial for child sexual offences

A MAN has been extradited from Northern Ireland to Germany where he is being sought to stand trial for a number of offences of rape and sexual assault committed against a child.  The offences occurred in the Berlin area of Germany between September 2020 and December 2021. The Sunningdale Agreement was signed on this day in 1973 by British Prime Minister Edward Heath, Irish premier Liam Cosgrave, and representatives of the Unionist, Social Democratic, Labour and Alliance parties of Northern Ireland. The agreement set up a Council of Ireland made up of a board and a power-sharing Consultative Assembly. The council’s primary focus was to give the Republic joint jurisdiction on issues concerning the North.
