TIPPERARY native Dean Browne has won the Seamus Heaney First Collection Poetry Prize for 2026. Antrim revealed as winner of Best Kept Town in Ireland title

ANTRIM has been revealed at the winner of the Best Kept Town in Ireland title for 2026. The Northern Irish town was named the overall winner in the annual all island competition at a ceremony held at Riddel Hall in Belfast this week. Research partnerships between Ireland and Wales set to be extended

COLLABORATIVE academic and research links between Ireland and Wales are set to be extended following a meeting of ministers. Netball Ireland’s women’s team confirms Sisk as official sponsor

After 38 years of occupation in Northern Ireland, the British Army officially withdrew their forces at midnight on July 31, 2007. “Operation Banner,” England’s longest continuous military operation, saw 300,000 British soldiers stationed in Northern Ireland through out the 38 years. Operation Banner concluded on July 31st, with 762 English soldiers dead in the wake of the campaign.
