As President of WMX at Warner Music Group (WMG), Karl Walsh leads one of the company’s largest global teams and the end-to-end operations that power merchandising, direct-to-fan ecommerce, supply chain, and distribution. Since May 2024, he has focused on elevating fan experiences and operational excellence at scale-bringing together product, data, and logistics to drive growth and world-class execution.
Before joining WMG, Karl served as CEO of Bodybuilding.com, a leading global fitness ecommerce and community platform. Prior to that, he was Chief Digital Officer at JCPenney and at Pandora, where he spearheaded omnichannel transformation, product and data strategy, and consumer experience initiatives. He has also served as an Expert Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising global enterprises on digital strategy and large-scale transformation. His career began at Accenture, Dublin, and he also spent time at McKinsey&Company.
Karl grew up in Dundrum and graduated from Trinity College Dublin with First Class Honours. In 2006, he moved to the United States to earn his MBA from Columbia Business School. He now resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Shamin, and their two sons, Dara and Dilan.
