Laurence A. Kraemer is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer at Northwell Health, New York’s largest integrated delivery system with twenty-eight (28) hospitals, over one thousand (1,000) ambulatory sites, the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, and the Elmezzi Graduate School of Molecular Medicine. It is the largest private employer in New York, with over 105,000 employees. He leads an in-house legal team of over 100 professionals. 

Laurence specializes in governance matters, structuring business arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures with particular expertise in tax-exempt and taxable business planning. 

Prior to joining Northwell Health in 2007, he led the healthcare and universities tax practice for Deloitte Tax LLP in the Northeast for many years. 

A member of the New York, U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Tax Court bars, Laurence received law degrees from the New York University School of Law (L.L.M.) and the Boston University School of Law (J.D.). He holds a B.A. from Rutgers College, and he is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Larry’s maternal grandparents were both from Donegal. His paternal grandparents were from Cavan.  He lives in Massapequa, NY and has four daughters
(two are twins).
