Nancy Soderberg

President Advisor

Nancy Soderberg has worked long and tirelessly on Irish affairs within the Clinton administration in her role as staff director of the National Security Council. She is now known as the White House official responsible for Irish matters, and works closely with National Security Advisor Anthony Lake.

Her interest and knowledge of things Irish began when she worked on Capitol Hill as a staffer for Senator Edward Kennedy. As foreign policy advisor for President Clinton during his election campaign, Soderberg was the one who wrote his detailed position papers on Ireland.

A native of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Soderberg is Scots-Irish, with McGillvarry and Mullin ancestors.
