Niall Miller
Golf Tours President
Ireland has long been renowned for its marvelous golf courses, and has attracted millions of visitors because of its facilities. When Niall Miller left the Irish Tourist Board after nine years as its executive vice president, it seemed natural that he would continue his involvement in the trade.
He did that by joining the Atlantic Golf Company as president last October, to lead a company which organizes customized golf tours from the U.S. to Ireland and Scotland. Atlantic Golf Company is an associated company of the ETM Travel Group in Connecticut, and has been operating for about ten years.
Miller believes that Ireland has never realized its full potential as a tourist attraction, despite figures which show that traffic from the U.S. has increased by almost 50 percent in the past two years, while the average European increase was four percent.
A native of Dublin, Miller came to the U.S. in 1987 having graduated from University College, Dublin with a masters degree in economics.
