Patricia Mooney

Coffey Modica LLP

Patricia Mooney is New York Managing Partner at Coffey Modica LLP, one of the fastest growing corporate and defense litigation firms in the nation. She focuses her practice on construction litigation, including high-exposure New York labor law matters, general and premises liability, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases. As Managing Partner, she is responsible for distributing and managing cases and directing professional development resources at all four New York offices.

Throughout her 23 years in the insurance defense industry, Patricia has litigated cases in New York’s five boroughs, Westchester, Long Island and Buffalo along with other upstate venues in both state and federal court. She has tried cases to verdict and is known for successfully handling subrogation matters where she is able to minimize or eliminate her clients’ exposure. She routinely serves as a speaker at industry events and for continuing legal education classes.

Patricia earned her JD from Pace University School of Law where she was managing editor of the Pace International Law Review and a member of Moot Court. Born in the Bronx, Patricia’s family relocated to County Clare where she attended school in Ennis until she was eight years old. Both sides of her family are from Ireland with her mother coming from Co. Galway and her father from Co. Clare. She owns the home in Co. Clare that has been in her family for over 300 years.  She currently resides in Westchester County with her husband Jason, who was born in Co. Donegal, and their three children.
