Sean Murphy is the founder and publisher of MurphGuide.com, an entertainment website focused on New York City nightlife events. Using the premise of “connecting the fun to the fun people”, MurphGuide connects local venues, event producers, musicians, and comedians to its fun-seeking readers: NYC area residents and visitors looking for nightlife entertainment options.

Born in the Bronx, NY to Irish immigrants from Castletownbere, Co. Cork, Sean grew up in Babylon, Long Island along with his four siblings.

He has a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Fordham University. He lives in Rockville Centre, NY, with his wife Jeanie and two children, Colleen and Brendan. He is active in the Ancient Order of Hibernians (Div. 2 in Babylon and Div. 7 in Manhattan), The Irish Business Organization of NY, and the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick on Long Island.
