A SPECIAL set of stamps have been issued to mark 25 years since Westlife began touring. An Post have launched the limited-edition Westlife 25 stamp collection this month. Ireland welcomes 6,000 new citizens in series of ceremonies

IRELAND has granted Irish citizenship to 6,000 people this week. A series of ceremonies have taken place at the Convention Centre Dublin to mark the occasion. Police issue warning after woman loses £40k to ‘cruel’ romance scammer

A WOMAN has lost £40k to a romance scammer she met on social media. The woman, from Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh, developed a relationship with the scammer online before being persuaded into transferring money to them. Murder investigation launched following death of man in Co. Antrim

A MURDER investigation is underway following the death of a man in Co. Antrim. The 42-year-old was found seriously injured at a property in Lisburn in the early hours of yesterday morning. He has since died in hospital, the PSNI have confirmed in a statement. Legendary actor and Oscar winner Gregory Peck died on this day in 2003. Peck, who’s grandmother Catherine Ashe came from Dingle, studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and debuted in his first Broadway show The Morning Star after graduation. His role in The Keys of the Kingdom in 1944 won him an Academy Award nomination. He became well known for his rugged screen presence and was often cast as the hero, especially in westerns. He starred opposite Audrey Hepburn in her first film Roman Holiday. Peck finally won the Oscar for his role as Atticus Finch in 1962’s To Kill a Mockingbird.
