Racism rapporteur calls for independent investigation into the death of Yves Sakila in Dublin

IRELAND'S Special Rapporteur on Racism and Racial Equality has called for a full independent Investigation into the death of Yves Sakila. Dr Ebun Joseph described footage of the 35-year-old being detained by security guards as 'deeply disturbing'. FIVE men who were arrested in Belfast as part of an investigation into violent dissident republican activity have been released. The men, aged 26, 27, 38, 44 and 51, were arrested in the Poleglass area of west Belfast on Thursday evening under the Terrorism Act. A COUPLE were left badly shaken after being tied up during a burglary in Co. Derry. The man in his 70s and the woman in her 60s were forced to hand over cash and other items before the offenders made off in the couple’s car.
