A MAN from Co. Down who was found guilty of child rape has been jailed for four-and-a-half years. The 39-year-old man from the Newtownards area was also found guilty of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Irish public urged to ‘stop feeding deer’ as human interaction is affecting their health

A CAMPAIGN has been launched to stop people feeding the deer at Dublin’s Phoenix Park as the human interaction is causing the animals “health issues”. A WOMAN has been left with serious facial injuries after she was violently attacked by a burglar in her home. The incident happened at around 9.45pm last night at the property in the Cranfield Park area of Larne in Co. Antrim. Irish government seeks tenders for charter flights to deport people

THE Irish government has opened a tender process to secure charter flight services to allow them to deport people who do not have permission to remain in the country. June 5, 1968

Following his win in the California and South Dakota primaries, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy made a speech addressing his campaign supporters at the Ambassador Hotel in LA, California. In an effort to make it to a press conference on time, Kennedy decided to pass through the kitchen, where he was shot by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan. He sustained three gun shot wounds and was immediately rushed to The Good Samaritan Hospital. Despite surgery, Kennedy died the next morning on June 6, 1968.
