Murder investigation launched following death of toddler in Co. Tyrone

A MURDER investigation has been launched following the death of a young girl in Co. Tyrone. Tavia Michella Ximenes Da Costa, who was just 23 months old, died suddenly in Dungannon at the weekend. Gardaí launch murder investigation over missing eight-year-old boy

GARDAÍ have launched a murder investigation in relation to an eight-year-old boy who went missing more than six weeks ago. Two police officers injured after patrol car rammed

On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
