Irish America held two receptions honoring the Business 100, 2002. The first, at the Yale Club in Manhattan on November 26, had Susan Kelliher-Ungaro, Editor-in-Chief, Family Circle, as keynote speaker. Ungaro was introduced by Tom Coughlan of Wal-Mart. Fidelma Macken, former judge of the Supreme Court of Ireland, became the first woman ever appointed to the European Court of Justice on this day in 1999. Macken, who was educated at Trinity College Dublin and Kings Inn, currently serves as a High Court judge in Ireland.
