Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney married Heather Mills in a ceremony at San Salvator's Church in the village of Glaslough, Co. Monaghan on June 11th, 2002 – a location which McCartney told reporters was chosen because his mother had been born in Co. Monaghan. Marriage is back in fashion. According to The Irish Voice, more Irish couples are preparing to wed than ever before. In 1999, more than 18,500 couples married in either religious or civil ceremonies, up from 15,000 in 1995.
