A new book in the “Poetry for Young People” Sterling Series, featuring acclaimed Irish poet William Butler Yeats, would make an ideal Christmas present for any young reader. Yeats, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1923, is recognized as one of the finest modern poets in the English language. He was also a playwright, theater-manager, politician, and a believer in fairies and ghosts. In this new collection, which is edited by Jonathan Allison and beautifully illustrated by Glenn Harrington, the drama mysticism and haunting beauty of Yeats’ native Ireland are brought to life in 26 of his most haunting and mesmerizing poems. ♦
