Kathleen Lynch (UBS) will be Irish America's Wall Street 50 keynote speaker for 2014.

Now in its 17th year, the Irish America Wall Street 50 recognizes the best and brightest Irish-American and Irish-born leaders in the financial industry today.

This year’s distinguished honorees will be profiled in the 2014 Wall Street 50 special edition of Irish America, to be released in early-September, and will be feted at the 17th Annual Wall Street 50 Awards Dinner on Thursday, September 18th at the Metropolitan Club of New York in Manhattan.  Click here for more information.

We are delighted to announce Kathleen Lynch, COO of UBS Group Americas and Wealth Management Americas, as the 2014 Wall Street 50 Keynote Speaker.

Kathleen is Chief Operating Officer for UBS Group Americas and Wealth Management Americas (WMA), and a member of the Americas and WMA Executive Committees. In close partnership with WMA Risk, Finance and Legal, Kathleen works to maintain a strong control environment, while focusing on further integrating all of the firm’s businesses across the region. In addition,  she provides strategic counsel and oversight for the division’s Operations, Human Resources and Technology functions.

Kathleen brings nearly 25 years of financial services experience to UBS. Prior to assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer in March 2013, Kathleen advised senior management on a number of key initiatives since she joined in June 2012, including the strengthening of UBS’s regulatory and operating framework in the region.

Although born and raised in the United States, her mother’s roots in Burtenport, County Donegal have greatly influenced her interest and appreciation for the Irish culture. And as a first generation Irish American, Kathleen dedicates her time to philanthropic efforts on both sides of the Atlantic.

In Ireland, Kathleen’s focus is on promoting peace, education and cultural opportunities for young people. She has been active in the efforts of the American Ireland Fund, a renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Irish people. Among her contributions, Kathleen has helped raise strategic funding for the Fund’s New York and Washington, D.C. dinners. Additionally, she has provided support and counsel on issues related to the development of religiously-integrated schools in Northern Ireland and speech pathology programs for Irish children in need.

Married with three children of her own, Aidan, Áine, and Declan, she and her husband are actively involved in their local community of Madison, New Jersey.

The 17th Annual Wall Street 50 Awards Dinner will be held on the evening of Thursday, September 18th at the Metropolitan Club of New York in Manhattan. Click here for information on reservations and placing a corporate ad or congratulatory message in the Wall Street 50 keepsake edition.
