The Wars of Dagger John

The Irish American Cultural Institute of New Jersey cordially invites you to a LIVE and FREE online presentation of a new reading from this riveting play, previously presented at the Sheen Center Theater in New York. It “explores themes of race and moral ambiguity in the context of the Civil War as it affected New York’s Irish Community.” 

The Zoom virtual performance features Jarlath Conroy, Orlagh Cassidy, and Colin Ryan.

Turlough McConnell, a native of Donegal, is a New York based writer, playwright, exhibition curator and producer specializing in Irish-American subjects of historical significance. For more than three decades, he has been a contributor to Irish Voice and Irish America magazine. His recent online productions include a series on Ireland’s Great Hunger and a series on the life of Oscar Wilde with Professor Christine Kinealy.
