Poor weather delays sinking of smuggling ship in Co. Mayo

THE sinking of a smuggling ship in Co. Mayo has been delayed due to bad weather in Ireland. The MV Shingle is currently in dry dock in New Ross Harbour in Co. A MAN from Ireland been convicted of hunting a fox with hounds in Cheshire, England. John Finnegan, 39, from Dean Hill, Hayse, Navan, Co. Woman in her 60s dies in Dublin collision

A WOMAN in her 80s has died following a collision in Dublin. The incident occurred at around 10.30am today at Hillside Drive in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14. Irish woman dies in the sea off the coast of Sardinia

AN IRISH woman has reportedly died in the sea off the coast of Sardinia. L'Unione Sarda reports that the 62-year-old tourist was swept into the water at the seaside village of Portu Maga on Tuesday. The ban restricting Catholics from attending Trinity College Dublin is finally lifted on this day in 1970. Through the help of the then Archbishop of Dublin John McQuaid, the Roman Catholic church removes its policy of disapproval or even excommunication for Catholics who enrolled at Trinity College without the proper permission. Authorities at the school also allow for a Catholic chaplain to be based at the college.
