‘A dangerous man’: Prolific child abuser jailed for more than 15 years

A PROLIFIC child abuser who targeted children through his role as a scout leader has been jailed for more than 15 years. In June 2023, Michael Costin pleaded guilty to 14 counts of indecent assault. Tribute paid to ‘beautiful, kind-hearted’ woman killed by pet dog

A FAMILY has paid tribute to a 'beautiful, kind-hearted' woman who was killed by her pet dog. Kelly Reilly was attacked at an address in Wexford Road, Coventry at around 12.15pm on Monday, July 22. Weather halts search for young boy missing at Cliffs of Moher

A SEARCH for a young boy missing at the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare has been paused due to adverse weather. Gardaí, the Coast Guard and the RNLI were joined by local search teams after the alarm was raised on Tuesday afternoon. After 38 years of occupation in Northern Ireland, the British Army officially withdrew their forces at midnight on July 31, 2007. “Operation Banner,” England’s longest continuous military operation, saw 300,000 British soldiers stationed in Northern Ireland through out the 38 years. Operation Banner concluded on July 31st, with 762 English soldiers dead in the wake of the campaign.
