Motorcyclist killed in early hours collision on Irish road

Funding of €1.2m announced to promote Irish arts around the globe

A FUNDING injection of €1.2m has been announced to promote Irish arts and culture across the globe. THE FAMILY of a woman who was killed by her husband have called for improvements to mental health services in Northern Ireland. On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
