A Young Irish woman has died while rock climbing in southern Spain. According to Telecinco News, the 21-year-old woman fell around 150m while descending a mountain near the village of El Chorro in Álora, Malaga. Police name man who died in Co. Down collision

POLICE have named a man who died in an early-morning road traffic collision in Co. Down as 35-year-old Alex Connor. Mr Connor died following the incident on the Upper Gransha Road in Bangor at around 1.50am on Saturday. After the start of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 on May 24, the United Irishmen were defeated by British forces on this day in 1798. Historically known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, almost 1,000 rebels lost their lives in this battle, which marked a turning point and eventual loss in the Rebellion of 1798.
