PSNI officer breached code of ethics by telling arrested man he punched ‘like a f****** woman’

AN INVESTIGATION by the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland (PONI) found evidence that a PSNI officer breached the code of ethics after he told an arrested man he punched 'like a f****** woman'. ‘Another challenging phase’: Two counties hit with Status Orange rain warnings as nine other counties on alert

TWO counties in Ireland have been issued Status Orange rain warnings that are set to be in place for 24 hours. Daniel O’Donnell leads tributes following death of popular Irish DJ in Luton

TRIBUTES have been paid following the death of a popular Irish DJ in Luton. Jim Carway died on February 2, at the age of 77, following a short illness. February 10, 1904

John Farrow, screenwriter, director and father of actress Mia Farrow, was born on February 10, 1904 in Sydney, Australia to John Farrow and Mary Savage Villiers. After working as a sailor he went to Hollywood in the 1920s and got his first job as a technical advisor. He then became a screenwriter in, notably writing the script for “Tarzan Escapes” (1936) where he met his  future wife, Irish-born Maureen O’Sullivan, who played Jane. She converted Farrow to Catholicism and he later wrote biographies of Saint Thomas More and Saint Damien of Molokai. Farrow’sgreatest accomplishments were his Academy Award win for the “Around the World in Eighty Days” (1956) script and his nomination as Best Director for Wake Island (1942).
