‘Terrifying ordeal’: Three staff members assaulted during armed robbery at Belfast off-licence

POLICE are appealing for information after three staff members were assaulted by a knife-wielding man during an armed robbery at a Belfast off-licence. Man sentenced to 18 years for child sex offences

A MAN who sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl and forced her to send him indecent photographs of herself has been sentenced to 18 years in jail. Police hunt man with Irish accent as accomplice is jailed over burglaries

POLICE in England are hunting a man with an Irish accent in connection with a burglary during which another man sustained head injuries. On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
