A WOMAN has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the murder of her partner. Wiktoria Maksymowicz fatally stabbed Anthony 'Tony' Browne in the neck as he slept at the home they shared in West Belfast in 2022. People affected by adoption in Ireland urged to have their say

PEOPLE who have been affected by adoption in Ireland are being asked to take part in newly launched public consultation. Investigation launched after dog attacked and killed by another dog

GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses after a dog was attacked and killed by another dog in Co. Mayo. The incident happened at around 7pm on June 26 in Greenway Walk in Westport. Ireland’s Crown Jewels are found missing on this day in 1907, just before days before a state visit by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The theft remains a mystery to this day. Arthur Vicars, Officer of Arms at Dublin Castle, held the jewels in his office and publicly accused his second in command, Francis Shackleton. Shackleton was exonerated and the case was never solved. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle used this historical event as the influence for his Sherlock Holmes story “The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans.”
