A DUAL Dutch-Irish national has been charged with firearms offences after he was stopped at the Port of Dover, with police seizing a number of weapons and ammunition. Two arrested after early-morning arson attack in Co. Down

TWO people have been arrested after an early-morning arson attack on a house in Co. Down. At around 1.15am today, a window was smashed and a petrol bomb thrown into the property in the Manse Court area of Saintfield, causing it to catch fire. Boy, 16, appears in court charged with murder of man in Co. Tipperary

A TEENAGE boy has appeared in court after being charged with the murder of a man in Co. Tipperary last year. A first edition draft of a chapter from James Joyce’s “Ulysses” is sold for close to £900,000 at an auction on this date in 2001. The scribble-filled manuscript of the chapter, titled Eumaeus, was sold by Sotheby’s. It was expected to sell for more than £1m.
