The Irish American Cultural Institute celebrated it's 40th anniversary at Dublin Castle, Ireland on October 29. Over 140 guests attended the dinner, including President McAleese. (Reuters) 12:20:02: The Irish republican rallying cry "A Nation Once Again" was named the world's favorite song ever, after a global poll by the BBC. Irish America held two receptions honoring the Business 100, 2002. The first, at the Yale Club in Manhattan on November 26, had Susan Kelliher-Ungaro, Editor-in-Chief, Family Circle, as keynote speaker. Ungaro was introduced by Tom Coughlan of Wal-Mart. First Minister of Northern Ireland, Peter Robinson stated that February 4 of 2011 marked a ‘new era’ in Belfast’s history after Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall paid the first ever Royal visit to a Catholic Church in Northern Ireland. The Prince of Wales went to see the £3.5 million restoration project at St. Malachy’s Church and met with churchgoers and representatives from parish groups, including the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and St. Malachy’s Primary School. Just fifteen years ago, this visit would have been near impossible.
