Academy Award-nominee Cathy Moriarty gained national prominence when she starred opposite Robert De Niro in the classic Raging Bull, the role for which she was nominated. 

Most recently, Moriarty completed filming A Brother’s Kiss opposite Marisa Tomei, and played the role of an evil heiress in the movie version of Casper, the friendly ghost. She also stars in the hit CBS TV show, Bless This House, a show described as Roseanne meets The Honeymooners. 

Among her other acting credits are Neighbors, Kindergarten Cop, Soapdish, The Mambo Kings and Forget Paris. 

The actress, a New York native and one of seven children, spends lots of time in her Yonkers home with her parents, who are Irish.
