 Pat Buchanan

Commentator/Politician

One of the foremost conservative commentators on the scene today. Pat Buchanan is seeking the Republican nomination for president. Whether he is loved or hated, he is always controversial, never failing to voice his opinions.

In 1988, conservatives wanted Buchanan to enter the primaries, but he declined.

The third son of a middle-class Catholic family of nine, Pat Buchanan has managed to make a strong impact on national politics without ever being elected. His ideas on abortion, morality and prayer have found a willing audience.

By means of his nationally syndicated column and his television commentary, Buchanan has a following all his own. He has also written a book on his values, commitments and convictions, titled Right From the Beginning.
