COLEEN NOLAN has led the tributes to her sister Linda, who has passed away at the age of 65. Linda, who first found fame with her sisters in pop group The Nolans, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. Man in his 40s dies in Co. Wexford collision

A MAN in his 40s has died following a two-vehicle collision in Co. Wexford this morning. The incident involving a car and a motorcycle occurred on the R742 at Johnstown at around 9.20am. A MAN has been left in a critical condition in hospital following a serious assault in Co. Monaghan. Police name pensioner who died in Co. Antrim collision

POLICE have named a woman who died in a road traffic collision in Co. Antrim as 77-year-old Carole Graham from the Newtownabbey area. Ms Graham, a pedestrian, died after she was struck by a car in the Glengormley area on Monday evening. Anne Maeve Binchy was born in Dalkey, County Dublin. Known to the world as Maeve Binchy, she would go on to become a revered novelist, playwright, short story writer, columnist and speaker. Binchy was beloved for her descriptive characters and charmingly humorous portrayals of life in Ireland. Her novels sold more than 40 million copies worldwide. She died in 2012 at the age of 73.
