CHRIS O’Dowd is set to portray Irish Voice founder Niall O’Dowd in a major new political thriller centred on the Northern Ireland peace process. ‘Expect delays’ as ambulance workers across Ireland begin 24-hour strike

E-bike rider left with serious injuries following Tipperary collision

AN E-BIKE rider was seriously injured in a collision in Co. Tipperary. The woman, who is aged an her 40s, collided with a vehicle on the Fethard Road towards Killusty in Lisronagh at around 2am on May 9. She was left with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. June 29, 1915

Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa, a prominent Fenian leader and member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, passed away in New York on June 29, 1915. Born in Co. Cork, Rossa was arrested and in 1865. He was charged with planning a Fenian Rising. He served out his sentence in England and after realizing he could not return to Ireland in exile, Rossa moved to the U.S. where he joined Clan Na Gael and the Fenian Brotherhood. A memorial to Rossa Stands in St. Stephen’s Green.
