GARDAÍ have issued a renewed appeal for information regarding a fatal collision in Co. Galway. A man, aged in his 20s, died after the car he was driving was involved in a three-car collision on the R336 in Barna on March 9. COCAINE worth an estimated €10.6m was found hidden in a heavy goods lorry. Gardaí from the National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Waterford Drug and Crime Units seized the drugs while carrying out a series of operations this week. FIVE men have been sentenced for the murder of a “beloved husband and father” in Belfast. Ian Ogle was brutally attacked by a gang in east Belfast at around 9.20pm on January 27, 2019. Former member of British ‘black ops’ unit charged with murder

THE murder of west Belfast man Patrick McVeigh in May 1972 moved closer to a resolution today as a former member of the British armed services was charged with the crime. Man arrested in €10 million Kilkenny cocaine sting

AN GARDA SÍOCHÁNA arrested a 60-year-old man in Co. Kilkenny yesterday after it was revealed that more than €10 million worth of cocaine was found in a lorry. The National Association of Ireland is founded in Dublin on this day in 1864. The group was heavily supported by the Catholic clergy, priests and bishops. The intention of the association was to foster cooperation with English radicals and to further promote the disestablishment of the Anglican Church of Ireland.
