Police hunt man with Irish accent as accomplice is jailed over burglaries

POLICE in England are hunting a man with an Irish accent in connection with a burglary during which another man sustained head injuries. President Higgins offers condolences on 50th anniversary of Guildford pub bombings

IRISH PRESIDENT Michael D. Higgins has offered his condolences to those affected by the Guildford pub bombings. Mr Higgins was speaking on the 50th anniversary of the IRA attacks that claimed five lives on October 5, 1974. Investigation launched after death of inmate in Dublin prison

AN INVESTIGATION has been launched following the death of an inmate at Cloverhill Prison in Dublin. Gardaí say a man was treated for injuries sustained in an incident at the prison in the early hours of Saturday morning but was later pronounced dead. June 5, 1968

Following his win in the California and South Dakota primaries, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy made a speech addressing his campaign supporters at the Ambassador Hotel in LA, California. In an effort to make it to a press conference on time, Kennedy decided to pass through the kitchen, where he was shot by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan. He sustained three gun shot wounds and was immediately rushed to The Good Samaritan Hospital. Despite surgery, Kennedy died the next morning on June 6, 1968.
