AN ELDERLY woman has died and two people have been seriously injured following a road traffic collision in Co. Clare. The two-car collision occurred on the R352 near Moymore, Tulla at around 3pm on Monday. Man who hid in North using fake ID is extradited to Demark to stand trial for murder

A MAN who used a fake identity to try to evade justice has been extradited from Northern Ireland to Denmark to stand trial for murder and possession of a firearm. On this day, Eamon de Valera abolished the Oath of Allegiance, a provisional aspect in the Anglo-Irish treaty of 1921. This provisional aspect originally required all members of the Irish parliament to take an oath declaring their allegiance to the King. This date also marked when de Valera withheld land annuities from England.
