A MAN has been charged with assault following an incident which left four police officers injured. Woman found dead at home in Cavan named locally as murder investigation launched

A WOMAN who was found dead at her home in Co. Cavan has been named locally as mother-of-five Annie Heyneman. Gardaí were called to the property in a rural area near Ballyconnell, Co. A TEENAGE boy has died following a crash in Co. Mayo, The 17-year-old was involved in a single vehicle collision on the R319 at Keel in Achill at around 1am yesterday morning (January 13). A MAN has been charged with arson after reports of a person attempting to set fire to petrol pumps. Anne Maeve Binchy was born in Dalkey, County Dublin. Known to the world as Maeve Binchy, she would go on to become a revered novelist, playwright, short story writer, columnist and speaker. Binchy was beloved for her descriptive characters and charmingly humorous portrayals of life in Ireland. Her novels sold more than 40 million copies worldwide. She died in 2012 at the age of 73.
