Grammy Award-winning artist and Irish America Hall of Fame inductee Judy Collins is offering an 80-minute program that provides a look into her creative and personal life through songs from her newest album and concert tour, Big Hits & Spellbound, at Trad Fest in Dublin.

At the historic and timeless Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin on Saturday, January 28, at 7 pm, Collin’s long-form concert uses songs from her 55th album, Spellbound, that “whisks the audience away to a lifetime of stories, songwriting, and personal revelation.”

Spellbound, nominated for a 2023 Grammy in the Best Folk Album category, is Collin’s most autobiographical album, drawing on memories of her Colorado childhood, adventures and activism in the Greenwich Village scene during the 1960s, and the biggest hits from her early career.

In recent years, Collin’s name has graced headlines with a Grammy nomination for her album Silver Skies Blue in the Best Folk Album category 2017, and her cover of “Amazing Grace” was chosen to be preserved in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress in 2017, and in 2019, landed on American Billboard charts for her album Winter Stories, a duet album with Jonas Fjeld, a Norwegian folk artist, and featuring the Chatham County Line.

Also performing at Trad Fest Temple Bar in on Saturday is twice-Grammy nominated artist Iarla Ó Lionáird, alternative folk group Moxie, who performed at the 2020 World Expo, and Saíocht, a bold mixture of traditional Irish music and literature, hosted by Belfast-born actor Stephen Rea and music from Neil Martin, Dr. Michelle Mulcahy, and Louise Mulcahy.

Separately, Collins and the Harlem Chamber Players are making an appearance at The Town Hall, a historic political and educational venue in New York City, on February 25, 2023, at 8 pm.

In this exclusive series of shows, supported by a 15-piece orchestra, Collins will perform her most esteemed works and reveal a rare recollection of her iconic 1967 album, Wildflowers.
